Terra is a Stygimoloch and my very first puppet. She is a herbivorous dinosaur from the Cretaceous period and she is a little over a year old. When fully grown she could reach around 10 feet in length and 3 feet in height, weighing around 175 to 200 pounds. 

Cyrus is a Spinosaurus and my second puppet. He is a carnivorous dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period and he is about a year old. When fully grown he could reach around 17 to 20 feet in height and 46 feet in length, weighing as much as 25,000 pounds. 

Jose Santana is the heart behind Front Range Dinosaurs—a passionate cosplayer, educator, and performer who believes in the power of imagination to inspire and connect. With a deep love for dinosaurs and storytelling, Jose brings science to life through stunning puppetry and engaging interactions.

When he’s not thrilling crowds at parties and public events, you’ll find him volunteering his time at schools, hospitals, and community fundraisers—sharing smiles, sparking curiosity, and giving back to the region he loves.

He has been dutifully raising Cyrus and Terra since they were both eggs.
